Con el Corazón en la Mano (Aterciopelados album). Con el Corazón en la Mano is the debut studio album by Colombian band Aterciopelados. It was released in 1993 and its influences are from punk rock music to Colombian folk music, the band wanted to mix styles to have a unique identity and create a unique type of music taking into consideration their local and global influences. From this album, "Mujer Gala", "Sortilegio" and "La Cuchilla" (a popular culture Colombian song) are the most known.
In October 2008, Aterciopelados released their 7th album, Rio, on Nacional Records. As Vibe Magazine said, "For Aterciopelados, maturity has become a form of liberation. The group toured United States in April 2009 to support Ri. heir most recent Album Claroscura from 2018, won the Latin Grammy Award for Best Alternative Album . This album contains no songs from their debut album Con el Corazón en la Mano. It sold over 500,000 copies worldwide.
