The Isolationist Seething Apparatus(Ep). 2005 saw GasHead release its ultimate thrash instro-metal CD with the humorously titled Knuckles Avec Sombreros. This time around GasHead had become more than just a project, the core of Mike Lopez, Derek Maness and Nate Scofield was truly a band. Knuckles displayed the direction the three were heading: heavier rhythms.

Still, GASHEAD always wondered what it might be like to have a vocalist in the band and to write purposeful metal that was uniquely informed by its slightly progressive, instrumental heritage. Then in 2007, armed with new singer Josh Purdy and their first full-time bass player in Justin Vaughan, the band cut "The Isolationist", followed by the "Seething Apparatus" EP in 2009. These two releases definitely cemented their ultimately destined path.

4 is the fourth studio album by American rock band The Red Jumpsuit Apparatus, which was released on July 4, 2014. It marks the return of lead guitarist Matt Carter and the only album featuring drummer John Hartman, who replaced longtime drummer Jon Wilkes.
