Robert Smigel (born February 7, 1960) is an American actor, humorist, puppeteer, comedian and writer known for his Saturday Night Live "TV Funhouse" cartoon shorts and as the puppeteer and voice behind Triumph the Insult Comic Dog. He also co-wrote the Hotel Transylvania films and You Don't Mess with the Zohan, both starring Adam Sandler. Smigel was born in New York City, to Lucia and Irwin Smigel, an aesthetic dentist, innovator and philanthropist.
Jacob Smigel Born in Las Vegas, Nevada ), is a collection of tracks from singles and compilation albums, as well as found sounds, live recordings, and previously unreleased tracks. It seemed the perfect compromise, given that I was deep in my studies then and not able to focus on writing and recording new songs. I had quite a scare when attempting to put this album together, as the hard drive that housed the files for these songs stopped working.

Post-folk, romantic, beatific bedroom pop songs about animal diseases, idioms, memory, and working as an EMT. But no matter what the topic, you can bet that every one of these magic gems is engaging, passionate (delivered with gusto!), strongly evocative, and catchy as all get out. This was recorded before the release of Jacob's magnum opus, 'New Mexico', so only broken record is from that album. Currently Jacob is in med school in Phoenix, AZ, and Alethia plays in the Objex.
