Orange is the fourth studio album by the Jon Spencer Blues Explosion. It was released through Matador Records on October 12, 1994. The Village Voice ranked the album of the top albums of 1994. NME named it the 16th best album of 1994. In 2018, Paste named it the 48th best garage rock album of all time. The single "Bellbottoms" was included in The Pitchfork 500.

In the video, Jon Spencer is a vampire being hunted by nuns whom he eventually seduces into a striptease en masse, before fighting and dying at the hands of a vampiress. This album features guest appearances by Dr. John, Bernie Worrell and Willie Weeks and design by Chip Kidd. There are several different versions of this release, and some of them had a DVD included with the album, called Fang Visual, the most complete of which is the Australian release. Acme is the sixth studio album by Jon Spencer Blues Explosion. It was released via Matador Records on October 20, 1998. A follow-up album was released the following year, featuring b-sides and remixes from Acme.

Legendary garage rocker Jon Spencer unveiled a gritty new track, Do the Trash Can, the first offering off his debut solo album, Spencer Sings the Hits!, set to arrive early this fall via In the Red Records. On Do the Trash Can, Spencer puts classic rock and roll dance tunes through a madman’s rock grinder. Buzzsaw guitar riffs groove alongside a metallic clatter of percussion, while Spencer lets loose with a wild vocal performance

Jon Spencer has been making records with his various projects since 1985, and most anyone familiar with his body of work would say that 2018's Spencer Sings the Hits sure sounds like a Jon Spencer album. The only thing curious about that would be that this marks the first time Spencer has released a solo project. Spencer has always displayed a strong personal style, whether in the noise rock assault of Pussy Galore, the hard wailing of the Jon Spencer Blues Explosion, the lascivious R&B stomp of Boss Hog, or the roots-conscious swagger of Heavy Trash.

Few copies of the album were produced; however, some songs are featured on the album Crypt Style, released one year after. Additionally, some songs are featured on the album A Reverse Willie Horton, released one year earlier, and considered either a bootleg or the group's true first album, as it contains all studio tracks. Singer Jon Spencer was previously the leader of the noise punk band Pussy Galore before hooking up with Judah Bauer (guitar) and Russell Simins (drums) to form the Blues Explosion, a band that was part of the 1990s alternative rock boom. This bass-less combo had their breakthrough in 1993 with the album "Extra Width" on Crypt Records.
