Untitled) is the ninth album by the American rock band the Byrds and was released in September 1970 on Columbia Records (see 1970 in music). It is a double album, with the first LP featuring live concert recordings from early 1970, and with the second disc consisting of new studio recordings.
Byrds is the twelfth and final studio album by the American rock band the Byrds and was released in March 1973 on Asylum Records (see 1973 in music). It was recorded as the centerpiece of a reunion between the five original band members: Roger McGuinn, Gene Clark, David Crosby, Chris Hillman, and Michael Clarke. The last time that all five members had worked together as the Byrds was in 1966, prior to Clark's departure from the band.
The Byrds’ producer-manager, Terry Melcher, related a slightly different version of events, claiming that he had written ‘Untitled’ on the official label copy sheet sent to the record company because the group had not yet settled on a name for the album, and before anyone realized what was happening the albums had been pressed up as (Untitled). The fact that the name printed on the album sleeves included parentheses makes Melcher’s explanation the more likely on. Much as we like to think that all aspects of artistic efforts are deliberately infused with meaning, sometimes random chance and.

(Untitled)" is a double album by American band The Byrds, released in 1970. It marks the last change to the band's line-up, with John York being asked to leave in September 1969, just preceding the release of "Ballad of Easy Rider", so that Skip Battin could take his place
Issued back in 1970 as a two-priced-as-one LP, Untitled was one of the few modest commercial successes for the latter-day group. Eight Miles High" is the high point, a 15-minute jam that showcases this band's prowess. The studio sides aren't to be overlooked, however - the group by this time was modifying its established sound into more of a '70s mode, and the influence of new members Gene Parsons and Skip Battin was showing up, pushing aside the familiar timbre of Roger McGuinn's 12-string Rickenbacker in favor of a leaner country-rock orientation.
The two-CD set Untitled/Unissued contains the Byrds' 1970 Untitled album (originally a double LP) on disc one, and 14 previously unissued alternate versions, studio recordings, and live performances on disc two. This was not the Byrds' most exciting era, but a lot of extra material existed, and Untitled was going to be reissued either way. Untitled itself was one of the Byrds' better late efforts, with an album of live material (built around updates of their most famous tunes) sharing space with uneven new studio recordings in the expected country/folk-rock mode, highlighted b. .
