Destroyer is a Canadian rock band from Vancouver, British Columbia fronted by singer-songwriter Dan Bejar and formed in 1995. Destroyer songs are characterized by abstract, poetic lyrics and idiosyncratic vocals. As Bejar gained popularity in Vancouver's music scene, he was joined by producer John Collins for 1998's City of Daughters, which was recorded at a proper studio. The 2002 rock album This Night was a dramatic change in style. a powerful, cohesive whole. In a 2006 interview (after the release of Your Blues and Destroyer's Rubies), Bejar said the album "came together pretty quickly – we probably could have used more. than four or five days to mix the whole thing, but that's all hindsight.
Destroyer" is a song by British rock band The Kinks, written by Ray Davies. It was released as a track on the group's nineteenth album, Give the People What They Want, in August 1981, and was the album's lead single in the US. It was not released as a single in the UK. The song features references to the band's earlier hits, including the riff from 1964's "All Day and All of the Night" and lyrics inspired by 1970's "Lola.
Feeling fine, but it must be the wine 'Cause it's April 27th and my baby's still dying on me We stole a gondola to sea And ditched the chaperones on jewel-encrusted roans Who called us unprofessional Deep down they knew Oh, that we were the music lovers. People say they just didn't want it enough Here, the people say they just didn't want it enough Oh, but we were the music lovers People say they just didn't want it enough Hear the people say they just didn't want it enough
Destroyer lyrics : "The Music Lovers". Feeling fine, but it must be the wine Cause it's April 27th and my baby's still dying on me. We stole a gondola to sea And ditched the chaperones on jewel-encrusted roans who called us 'unprofessional. Deep down they knew, Oh that we were the Music Lovers! People say - "They just didn't want it enough. Here, the people say - "They just didn't want it enough. Oh, but we were the Music Lovers! People say - "They just didn't want it enough
Guys Night Out Cool & Cocky Late Night. Paul Revere & the Raiders. The Spirit of '67, Paul Revere and the Raiders' third gold-selling, Top Ten album to be released in 1966, marked the triumph of the group's in-house writing team of lead singer Mark Lindsay, Paul Revere, and producer Terry Melcher. Hungry," the Top Ten follow-up to "Kicks," was written, like the earlier hit, by Barry Mann and Cynthia Weil, but er then hit the Top 40 with "The Great Airplane Strike" and the Top Ten with "Good Thing
