The Rose Garden is the self-titled and only album from the American folk rock group of the same name. It was released in April 1968 on Atco Records and included their Top 20 hit "Next Plane to London". The band was heavily influenced by the Byrds' style of vocal harmony and 12-string guitar blending and the album includes two Gene Clark compositions, "Till Today" and "Long Time". The group also recorded "Rider", which was first recorded by the Byrds in 1966, but not yet released. The only original composition was "Flower Town".
The rose garden (1967-1968). Diana De Rose (spelled Di Rose on the album and De Rose on Flower Town ) - lead vocals, acoustic guitar John Noreen - lead 12-string guitar, vocals James Groshong - lead vocals, guitar William Fleming - bass Bruce Bowdin (spelled Boudin on the album) - drums. Sunshine pop was a distinctive Southern California musical style popular from 1966 to 1968, with a 1970 Beach Boys album, Sunflower, tossed in for good measure. Noreen recalls, She met Jim somewhere in Hollywood and wanted him to join her band or start a band. But Jim wanted to stay where he was, and we did need another vocalist, so we all thought it would be best if she came to our band. De Rose brought along a friend named David Hanson, who arranged for the group to record a couple of demos at a Hollywood studio.
The lack of Rose Garden compact discs could be down to how they had only one hit single: "Next Plane to London," which climbed to number 17 in the fall of 1967. A Trip Through the Garden fills out the story, underscoring how the Rose Garden were very much a band of their time and place, quite proudly displaying their debt to the Byrds. These two songs, along with the mellow effervescence of "Next Plane to London," are the highlights of the album and the comp, rivaled only by a crunchy version of Neil Young's "Down to the Wire" and the five live cuts, which are much tougher than anything else heard on the CD (they also contain two additional Byrds covers in "So You Want.
The Gulshan Album was assembled from loose paintings and calligraphic panels that the emperor Jahangir had collected or commissioned. Production on the album began around 1595, a decade before Jahangir succeeded to the Mughal throne.
