The electronic music group Tangerine Dream has released more than one hundred albums, singles, EPs and compilations since the group was formed in 1967. Tangerine Dream's releases have been divided into several eras based on the record label of the time. Tangerine Dream's first releases were on the Ohr label.

Track Info: Blue Dawn is the title track from the album Blue Dawn (Eastgate 2006). The track was composed in 1988 during Tangerine Dream& North American Tour.

The experimental nature of the first four albums by Tangerine Dream is breathtaking. For those who appreciate early German electronic abstractionism (Kosmische Musik) it's difficult to top these. I believe that this is supposed to be a concept album about traveling through space to Alpha Centauri. This ceraintly fits the bill as the first side of the LP resembles an interstellar journey and I'm happy to see the 20 minute title track as an exploration of the new planet.

Artist : Tangerine Dream. Recorded 1988 - Released 2006 Eastgate. love this album and very rare.

Le Parc was the first studio album by Tangerine Dream following their departure from Virgin Records. Edgar Froese, Chris Franke & Johannes Schmoelling recorded this inspiring work in Vienna, Berlin and London, utilising the services of guest vocalists Clare Torry on ‘Yellowstone Park’ and Katja Brauneis on ‘Zen Garden’. Underwater Sunlight was released in 1986. Rightly heralded as an ambient classic, the album was the first to feature Paul Haslinger and was arguably the finest of the band’s so called blue years, influencing a new generation of ambient musicians. Featuring both parts of the superb ‘Song of the Whale’ and the classic title track, the album introduced Tangerine Dream to a new audience. Tyger was recorded in Berlin and Vienna and was the final studio release by the band for the Jive Electro label, taking its inspiration from the poems of William Blake.
