Derasse recorded the album at the Collegiale Notre-Dame in Vernon, France with the talented Kenneth Bowen. The trumpet pariing with the organ provides great depth and gives the release an intimate, uplifting atmosphere, with the acoustics being just right. The Bach slow pieces are simply gorgeous with "Jesus, Joy of Man's Desiring" being updated with a descant written by New York composer David Horowitz.
