Learning to Breathe' is a 13 Track compilation of demos & b-sides that was self-released on December 14th 2016, and given away free via Pray TV's bandcamp page: "A compilation of demos and b-sides. Some are sketches that became fully realised with the next recording, some fell through the cracks - victims of bad timing, and some were just plain rejects, destined to be lost forever. Keeping them buried was probably the wisest move, but now we are in the golden age of over-sharing, we’ve decided to give them away - to anyone bothered to take the time to listen. Track 08 is a 1994 acoustic version of 'The Great Escape' which was previously issued as a full band version on their 1992 album, 'Paydirt' (SHOCKCD0021). Tracks 09, 10 & 12 are previously unreleased 1993 demos, recorded in preparation for the November 1994 album 'Swingers Paradise' (album 005).

Learning to Breathe is the third studio album by the band Switchfoot. It was released on September 26, 2000. It was their final record for independent label re:think Records, which was distributed by Sparrow Records. This album also received a Grammy nomination for Best Rock Gospel Album in 2001. A music video was filmed for the song "You Already Take Me There".

Tracks 01, 03, 06, 11 & 13 are previously unreleased 1995 demos recorded in preparation for their 1996 album, 'Westona' (HIP018CD).
Track 02 is a 1991 demo that was later re-recorded for their 1992 album, 'Paydirt' (SHOCKCD0021).
Track 04 is a 1993 demo that was previously issued on an 'Underworld' magazine CD. Recorded in preparation for the November 1994 album 'Swingers Paradise' (album 005). 'That Word' was also released on the 'Sucker Punch' CD EP in 1994 (single 004).
Track 05 is a previously unreleased 1989 demo, that was later re-recorded for the 7 inch single 'Spent / She Fell' (ANDA 114), and the 1991 album 'Flux' (SHOCK0008).
Track 07 is a b-side from the 'Spent / She Fell' 7 inch single, which was released by Au-go-go in May 1990 (ANDA 114).
Track 08 is a 1994 acoustic version of 'The Great Escape' which was previously issued as a full band version on their 1992 album, 'Paydirt' (SHOCKCD0021).
