The Band is the second studio album by the Band, released on September 22, 1969. It is also known as The Brown Album. According to Rob Bowman's liner notes for the 2000 reissue, The Band has been viewed as a concept album, with the songs focusing on people, places and traditions associated with an older version of Americana.

Percy Chandler and His Band Rick Wilmot. Many famous British dance bands recorded for Decca and were prolific in their output. Decca also featured provincial dance bands such as Bill Airey-Smith and his Orchestra, the output of which was not numerous. This band were based at "The Spider's Web" in Bushey Heath, Hertfordshire. Decca only issued four records by this drummer/vocalist turned bandleader in 1935. This is one of two Decca records. The other two were issued on their "B" label, Panachord "Georgia on my mind" the band really excel. Recorded 19th September 1935
