IVORY is the best instrumental CD I have ever owned. I especially like to play it as I use Guided Imagery with my students and past clients. The music is very soothing and it is easy for my students to imagine the scenes I describe, thus enabling them to relax fully and recharge for life's challenges
Endangered Species is the second studio album by American rock band Flaw. It was released on May 4, 2004. The album debuted at on the Billboard 200 chart. As explained by vocalist Chris Volz, the fairly lengthy delay between the release of Through the Eyes and Endangered Species was the result of 18 months of touring and, sequentially, the band's desire to not hastily release an album without being happy with its contents.
An endangered species is a species which has been categorized as very likely to become extinct in the near future. Endangered (EN), as categorized by the International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN) Red List, is the second most severe conservation status for wild populations in the IUCN's schema after Critically Endangered (CR). In 2012, the IUCN Red List featured 3,079 animal and 2,655 plant species as endangered (EN) worldwide. The figures for 1998 were, respectively, 1,102 and 1,197.
For this reason endangered species deserve more protection than the current regulations provide. Throughout history there have been many different reasons for the extinction of species. The earliest known reason was 64-66 million years ago when scientists believe a meteorite struck earth causing the extinction of the dinosaur and of 85% of the species existing at the time (Sherry, 2). Another major problem is the introduction of species into a new environment. Zoos are also helping to breed species in captivity with environments as close to the wild as possible. In certain circumstances these efforts are worthwhile and the plants or animals are returned to their native environments (Zoos and Reserves).
A Bit of Background on Endangered Species and Animals. Science has only identified about 2 million species, but it is estimated that this is only a small fraction of the number that have yet to be discovered or that have already gone extinct.
Endangered Species is the fourth and penultimate album by the Canadian progressive rock band Klaatu, released in mid-1980. The band was sent home before the album was even mixed.
Centorino's first proper solo album was 1993's Ivory: A Celebration of Wildlife, a series of pieces meant to evoke images of different endangered species (some of the album's profits were donated to wildlife groups). In 1997, Centorino issued the seasonal album It's Christmas Everywhere. Two years later, after World Disc went bankrupt, Centorino acquired the rights to his back catalog and reissued the albums on his own Centorino Productions label
