The Creatures - Feast album flac

Feast is the debut studio album by British duo the Creatures, composed of Siouxsie Sioux and musician Budgie, then-members of the band Siouxsie and the Banshees. It reached No. 17 in the UK Albums Chart and the "Miss the Girl" single peaked at No. 21. With their first album, the band embraced exotica, including "waves crashing on beaches", "found-sound effects from nature" and local Hawaiian chanters. Critic Ned Raggett described it as "a lush, tropical experience".

Paul Prayag of Record Mirror praised the album, awarding it a score of 4 out of 5 and writing: "Siouxsie and Budgie are wondering deeper and deeper into a jungle that looks like having no easily definable boundaries". that moment when the monsoon ends, when the smell and the heat conspire in a perfumed mist and life sprouts instantly, green and luxurious".

Almost a tribute to the exotica of acts like Martin Denny but well before the cloying rush of mid-'90s hype around such items, Feast is just that, a chance for the duo to marry Sioux's often cutting lyrics to a different musical brew. Longtime Banshees producer Mike Hedges assists once again with the proceedings, helping to carry over the dark undertow of the main group to the duo's work here.

On May 15th, 1983, Feast the debut album by The Creatures was released. The project comprised of both Siouxsie Sioux and Budgie of Siouxsie and the Banshees, who had released their Wild Things EP released two years prior to Feast during the recording sessions for the Banshees album Juju. Siouxsie and Budgie took an unconventional path in their decision on where to record the album by randomly placing a pin on a map of the world, and suspiciously ended with their location being Hawaii
