Standing on a Beach (titled Staring at the Sea in CD format in some countries) is a singles compilation album released by English rock band the Cure in May 1986, marking a decade since the band's founding in 1976. The album's titles are both taken from the opening lyrics of the Cure's debut single, "Killing an Arab".
Japanese Whispers: The Cure Singles Nov 82 : Nov 83 is a singles album by British group the Cure. It was released in late 1983 by their record company, Fiction Records. It includes the singles "Let's Go to Bed", "The Walk" and "The Lovecats". The other tracks are the B-sides of these singles, although "Mr. Pink Eyes" (the second B-side for "The Lovecats") was not included

The Cure - Standing On A Beach was released on the 6th May 1986 and was a compilation album released by The Cure. The album features all the band’s singles from 1978’s Killing An Arab to 1985’s Close To Me. These were all the singles the band had released at that point. Some CD versions ended with the song A Night Like This which was released as a video a few weeks before this album, the CD and video tape VHS versions were titled Staring At The Sea.
