Formal Name: Black Box: The Complete Black Sabbath 1970-1978. Disc 1 – Black Sabbath. The notion that Black Sabbath is just out for money by releasing this set without a ton of extras. The songs are: Black Sabbath, Paranoid, Into the Void, Supernaut, Killing Yourself to Live, Hole in the Sky, Rock ‘n’ Roll Doctor, Never Say Die. The sticker on the outside of a shrink wrapped copy. The sampler folded up after the shrink wrap is removed.

Black Box: The Complete Original Black Sabbath 1970–1978 is a collection of the first eight albums by the heavy metal band and a DVD of 4 videos. The set contains the albums recorded with original singer Ozzy Osbourne, who was fired in 1979 after completion of the band's Never Say Die! tour. This marked the end of the group's original line-up that featured Osbourne, guitarist Tony Iommi, bassist Geezer Butler and drummer Bill Ward.

By Black Sabbath's fifth album "Sabbath Bloody Sabbath" and the following "Sabotage", the group was maintaining an impressive cruising speed and with the help of a few high-profile guest musicians (Rick Wakeman), this period is considered by many progheads as their proggiest. Indeed, the songwriting (more concise and complex) and production values on these albums made Sabbath a progressive act, without actually becoming "prog".

Of course, that sentiment doesn't apply to all of the music Black Sabbath made - Osbourne left the band in 1978 and the band was never quite the same, but truth be told, Sabbath lost their mythic power long before Ozzy went solo. The answer is a qualified yes.
