UK. It started in 1999. The dust in the room began to dance & bask in the amber glow of the valves as the amps began to rumble into life. Adding the battery controlled the monolith whilst the soothing tones of the voice healed the wounds from the bludgeon. Drawing Down The Sun.

In situ is a Latin phrase that translates literally to "on site" or "in position. It can mean "locally", "on site", "on the premises", or "in place" to describe where an event takes place and is used in many different contexts. For example, in fields such as physics, Geology, chemistry, or biology, in situ may describe the way a measurement is taken, that is, in the same place the phenomenon is occurring without isolating it from other systems or altering the original conditions of the test.

Where The River Flows. 1. Where The River Flows. Under suburban skies Where life is bleeding Where concrete skies are grey There's plenty of room for dreaming. You find me You find me You find me by the river You find me You find me You find me, you can find me. By the river where dreams will never die By the river under suburban skies. You find me You find me You find me by the river You find me You find me You find me where the river flows. By the river where dreams have never died By the river I look through children's eyes

The river Thames is the largest river that is wholly in England, with a total length of 354km. The Thames basin contains many major urban centres, including London, Swindon, Oxford, Slough, Maidenhead and Reading, housing a fifth of the UK population. Some of the tributaries and the lower Thames are therefore heavily impacted by sewage pollution. Hydrochemical processes in lowland rivers: insights from in situ, high-resolution monitoring. Hydrology and Earth System Sciences 2012; 16: 4323-4342. CEH has conducted a series of experiments using in-stream flume mesocosms on the river Lambourn at Boxford, the river Kennet at Mildenhall and the river Thames at Wytham, to investigate nutrient limitation of benthic algal growth.

The concerts in found spaces are done with acoustical design by Dave Rife and architectural consultant Peter Zuspan. Amid the historic South Street Seaport’s Cannon Walk, the Norwegian composer Maja . Ratkje gives a quadrophonic mix of voices in site-specific sets, improvising with the acoustics in the room and using her own voice as a sound source. With the help of samplers and live electronics, she will create unique soundscapes. Maja does everything with her voice, marvels Ex-Situ curator Paola Prestini, a composer who relishes multimedia collaborations. She tweaks it with electronics to expand and accentuate it. Listening to her voice is a trancelike experience.
