It's a rare record that can combine latin beats with Dean Martin and electro and get away with it. David Holmes' excellent soundtrack manages to do this with style. The Reservoir Dogs/Pulp Fiction formula of mixing soundbites with classic records is further enhanced by the addition of sections of the smooth and ultracool Out of Sight score. It is Holmes' inclusion of these self penned tunes which warrants the soundtracks inclusion in a list of electronic music, but themes are reflected and cross-referenced between classic songs by artists such as the Isley Brothers and Holmes' own work. A classic and hip score for a classic and cool movie.
