I have the UK version of the album. My top 5 tracks are: 'Mother's Little Helper' 'Lady Jane' 'Under My Thumb' 'It's Not Easy' 'Think'. FML:Do you think that the Rolling Stones were better with Brian Jones or post Brian Jones? Are people on the right sure they want McChrystal to be their latest hero based on infor that Rolling Stones? Trying again: Christian math, please explain? More questions.
The Rolling Stones are an English rock band formed in London in 1962. The first stable line-up consisted of bandleader Brian Jones (guitar, harmonica, keyboards), Mick Jagger (lead vocals, harmonica), Keith Richards (guitar, vocals), Bill Wyman (bass), Charlie Watts (drums), and Ian Stewart (piano). Stewart was removed from the official line-up in 1963 but continued to work with the band as a contracted musician until his death in 1985.
The Stones' most downbeat, druggy album, with new guitarist Mick Taylor stretching into jazz and country. Key Track: "Brown Sugar" was the big hit, but "Sway" is one of the band's spookiest pro-evil anthems. Best Keith Moment: His guitar battle with Taylor throughout "Bitch. Their great R&B album – by now the Stones could write their own classics as well as pick them. Mick struts through the grooves with a sullen edge of seduction, his voice dripping with sex, while Keith and Brian keep hitting new twin-guitar highs. Key Track: "Satisfaction" – if they quit the day after they cut this, they'd still be legends.

The Rolling Stones have done more to define the look, attitude and sound of rock & roll than any other band in the genre's history. After that, the Stones were an indomitable force on the music scene, and they have continued to be to this day. In 1978, the band’s album, Some Girls, rose to the challenge of punk ( When the Whip Comes Down ) – whose energy and attitude the Stones had defined a decade earlier – but also swung with the sinuous grooves of disco ( Miss You ). The album is one of the best of that decade. Meanwhile, guitarist Ron Wood had replaced Mick Taylor in 1975, adding another key element to the version of the Rolling Stones that would last another three decades – and counting
The Rolling Stones gave their first performance at the Marquee Club in London on July 12, 1962. At the time, the group consisted of Jagger, Richards, Jones, pianist Ian Stewart, drummer Mick Avory, and Dick Taylor, who had briefly returned to the fold. Weeks after the concert, Taylor left again and was replaced by Bill Wyman, formerly of the Cliftons. Avory also left the group - he would later join the Kinks - and the Stones hired Tony Chapman, who proved to be unsatisfactory.
