One of the most talented representatives of the Icelandic post-Björk generation Sóley returns to the Ship to perform for the third time. The great singer and artist of fragile ambients will be presenting her new album that features optimistic moods bringing the sunrays of the Icelandic summer into the concert hall. Her support will be the also Icelandic young singer and musician known for her elegant minimalism: Josin.

After establishing a contemplative, overcast chamber electro-pop across a span of two albums, Icelandic musician Sóley Stefánsdóttir veers slightly off her established course to take a more scenic route for her third solo LP. Titled Endless Summer, it took inspiration from a note she scribbled down after waking in the middle of the night: "Write about hope and spring. Sóley will release their new album Endless Summer on May 5 via Indigo and Morr Music. Endless Summer is the name of the follow-up to her truly wonderful 2015 LP Ask The Deep. It is set for a release on May the 5th, 2017 via Indigo/ Morr Music. And while the predecessor was a bit more gloomy we can expect more hopeful sweetness on this one as she explain in a press statement. The idea for the album came pretty randomly one night in beginning of January 2016 when I woke up in the middle of the night and wrote a note to myself: ‘Write about hope and spring’. So I painted my studio in yellow and purple, bought a grand piano, sat down and started playing, singing and writing.

Endless Summer is an album by Austrian electronic music producer and guitarist Fennesz, released on 3 July 2001 by Mego. It brought him critical recognition and became "a hit in left-field electronica," influencing many artists. It was named the 14th best album of the decade by Tiny Mix Tapes, 26th by Pitchfork, and 41st by Resident Advisor.
