The band's most ambitious recording, an album entitled Captain Nemo, was recorded during that same period and released in 1968. Their work included appearances on the television shows The Flying Nun and It Takes a Thief. Set in the Old West of the late 1880s, the novels follow the adventures of gunslinger Gabriel Tyler and Native American shaman Jonathan Fivehawk as they fight the plans of Robur Drache, an insane genius in the thrall of an ancient evil known as The Faceless.

The Last Waltz is the second live album by the Band, released on Warner Bros. Records in 1978, catalogue 3WS 3146. It is the soundtrack to the 1978 film of the same name, and the final album by the original configuration of the Band. It peaked at on the Billboard 200. The triple album documents the Band's "farewell" concert which took place at Bill Graham's Winterland Ballroom on Thanksgiving Day 1976

Dramatic Poignant Rollicking Bittersweet Literate Organic Playful Autumnal. As a film, The Last Waltz was a triumph - one of the first (and still one of the few) rock concert documentaries that was directed by a filmmaker who understood both the look and the sound of rock & roll, and executed with enough technical craft to capture all the nooks and crannies of a great live show.

Brother is pitted against brother in this tale of fueding ranchers in the old west. At Apache River Station, the passengers of a stagecoach, the owners of the station, a sheriff and his prisoner and a few ferry passengers are besieged by a band of renegade Apaches. Director: Lee Sholem. But The Sundowners was flawed in the execution. The Robert Mitchum/Deborah Kerr Sundowners was far better.
