referencing Nutz To. CD, Album, RE, PCCY-10173. Not as superb, diverse and solid as the first LP but almost as good. That being said this LP should not be overlooked. Cool Me Down" is a solid hard rocker with impressive harmonies. The blistering opening guitar solo on the track entitled "Nature Intended" shows the amazing talent of Mick Devonport. Take It From Me" is another heavy solid rocker with excellent vocals and good driving hook.
The second Nutz album was a bit more basic than the first, with more of a focus on blues-based hard rock and a slicker, more professional feel. Still, the band managed to keep things interesting with acoustic textures and some interesting time changes in the course of the album. The instrumentation bears comparisons to Led Zeppelin in spots, though vocalist Dave Lloyd's appealing bluesy rasp is from a whole different tradition than Robert Plant's.

Nutz released their first album entitled simply ‘Nutz One,’ John Antony produced the album, who also produced Queen. The album cover was slightly controversial with a young lady bending over ‘legs a kimbo’, the lady in question was Linda Halpin. Linda was the sister of one of the World’s most famous Rock ‘n’ Roll photographer’s Ross Halpin. Nutz released three further albums ‘Nutz Too’ and Hard Nutz ‘Nutz Live Cutz’ during which time they had played major festivals including ‘Reading Festival’, where they played twice. They eventually signed to John Arnison who took over management until they split when John Mylett died.

A Liverpool based group, perhaps unfortunately more remembered for their saucy album covers than the actual music the records contained. NUTZ's career highlights included support slots to UFO in 1976 and BLACK SABBATH in March 1977 and the group built up a healthy and loyal fan following across the UK.
