Shhh is the fifth studio album by the band Chumbawamba. It was originally written and recorded as Jesus H. Christ, an album that relied heavily on samples. The band was unable to procure rights to a number of the songs they sampled, however, and the album was largely re-worked to defend artistic intent and criticize censorship. The album sleeve artwork itself incorporated various rejection letters received by the band denying the rights to the Christ samples.

Chumbawamba's second album, Never Mind the Ballots. Here's the Rest of Your Lives, was released in 1987, coinciding with the general election, and questions the validity of the British democratic system of the time. The band adopted another moniker, Scab Aid, for the "Let It Be" song release that parodied a version of the Beatles song recorded by the popstar  . In 2007 Danbert released his second solo album Library Book Of The World, his first being The Un-fairy Tale in 1985. The Un fairy-tale was re-released in 1997.

That album, however, was built around numerous samples of other groups and, when they found out how much clearing them would cost, they scrapped it (though, it was released as a bootleg and, in recent years, via their chumbawamba. tv site as mp3s) and rerecorded the album without the samples and with a new focus on censorship.

Uneasy Listening (Chumbawamba album). Uneasy Listening is a compilation album by anarcho-punk band Chumbawamba. It contains songs from the time of their first album Pictures of Starving Children Sell Records up to 1998.

Conversely, the Internet grants a profound reach to the rants of the average soapbox idealist, whose words might burst with sudden and unlikely force from tinny desktop speakers half a world away. These bitstream cultural transfers - both the wanted and the unwanted - are the impetus for the grumbling lovely global village of Chumbawamba's UN.

Every producer knows an album's first track is very important, and "The Wizard of Menlo Park" has all the bland but bright tunefulness of a Lightning Seeds song, albeit with anti-globalist, socialist lyrics. After this lovely, if eminently forgettable beginning, fans will be reassured that you don't get more of the same. Having taken part in lots of internationalist love-ins, Chumba have decided to have a go at World music.

What Chumbawamba people did next.

Un is the 11th studio album by Chumbawamba released in mid-2004, and features major influences from both electronic and folk music, containing many samples from world music. It serves as a bridge between the band's earlier electric sound and the later acoustic sound. All tracks written, arranged and produced by Chumbawamba. Alice Nutter - Vocals. Jude Abbott - Trumpet, Vocals. Dunstan Bruce - Vocals. Louise Watts - Vocals, Keyboards.
