Anarchy is the sixth studio album by anarcho-punk band Chumbawamba. Many of the tracks address specific social issues, such as homophobia, strikes or fascism. Its graphic cover, depicting a baby's head emerging from a vagina, prompted the record to be banned from some shops and stocked in plain sleeves in others.
Show business, or Showbiz, is a vernacular term for the business of entertainment. Show Business may also refer to: Show Business (1938 film), a 1938 Australian film musical. Show Business (1944 film), a musical. ShowBusiness: The Road to Broadway, a 2005 American documentary. Louie Spence's Showbusiness, docusoap and follow up to Pineapple Dance Studios. Show Business (novel), a 1992 postmodern satirical novel by Shashi Tharoor. Show Business (magazine), a performing arts magazine since 1941.

Reservations about this album do not concern Chumbawamba's status as an excellent live prospect, especially in their formative days. But to truly appreciate the group's carnival of anti-authoritarian bonhomie, you require the visual aids. In their early shows this was achieved via a series of sketches, including the ritual burning of tabloid newspapers.

Notes"Showbusiness" was recorded on the 18th and 19th August, 1994 at the Duchess of York in Leeds, and mixed a couple of weeks later at Woodlands Studio, Castleford. In response to threats from fascists who rang the venue to say they'd turn up mob-handed and trash it "if Chumbawamba play", Leeds Anti-Fascist Action organised two days of security both inside and outside the club. Fittingly, all money from both concerts (around £1500) was given to AFA.
Ironically it was on the day of the first gig that Home Secretary Michael Howard declared an end to a Suspect's Right to Silence. Shhh... It was also Vic's birthday. All snippets of radio, news, and talking were recorded over the two days. "Showbusiness!" is brought to you by the Doctor Quantize Clinic via One Little Indian records.
