Like a Rock is the thirteenth studio album by American singer-songwriter Bob Seger, released in 1986 (see 1986 in music). The title track is best known for being featured in Chevrolet truck commercials throughout the 1990s and early 2000s. Fortunate Son" is a live cover of the 1969 Creedence Clearwater Revival hit, recorded March 31, 1983 at Cobo Hall in Detroit

Originally a hard-driving rocker in the vein of fellow Michigan garage rockers the Rationals and Mitch Ryder, Bob Seger developed into one of the most popular heartland rockers over the course of the '70s. Combining the driving charge of Ryder's Detroit Wheels with Stonesy garage rock and devotion to hard-edged soul and R&B, he crafted a distinctively American sound.
TITLE added to MP3 cart. I bought the album version back when it was released in 1986 and have waited forever for it to be released on cd it also has a bonus track Bob preforming CCC's Fortunate Son. Now all we have to wait for is a Deluxe version of Nine Tonight to be released.
