Faith is the debut solo studio album by the English singer George Michael, released on 30 October 1987 by Columbia Records and Epic Records. The album has won several awards, including the Grammy Award for Album of the Year in 1989. It received a diamond extreme certification by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA). Faith spawned six top-five singles that substantially helped it dominate the charts in 1987 and 1988.

English singer George Michael released five studio albums, two compilation albums, one extended play, 47 singles, three promotional singles, 31 music videos and five video albums. In his career, Michael sold over 80 million records worldwide, making him one of the world's best-selling artists of all time. Michael's debut solo album, Faith, was released by Epic Records in the United Kingdom in October 1987.

George Michael, ‘Faith’. When Michael left Wham!, he signified his new maturity by not shaving. Thankfully, his music was still tasty pop candy – six of these songs hit the Top Five on the singles charts. I Want Your Sex" is one of the decade's finest Prince imitations, and the best ballad is the spooky, soulful "Father Figure. Where American white kids got the notion they could play the blues.
