Lily Of The Valley (A "Nut" Song). Written-By – Anatol Friedland, L. Wolfe Gilbert. When I Hear That Jazz Band Play (From Ziegfeld's "Midnight Frolic"). Written-By – Dave Stamper, Gene Buck.
Marion Harris a rising star of vaudeville and musical theatre joined the Jazz fad on July 18th, 1917 with her version of the tune "When I Hear That Jazz Band Play". The song was another "instructional" record similar to Collins' and Harlan's "That Funny Jas Band From Dixieland". The lyrics of the song attempt to explain what Jazz is and how you were supposed to behave when you've heard some Jazz. The song was the closing number of Ziegfeld's Midnight Frolic in 1917. Some Jazz historians consider Marion Harris to be the first female Jazz singer.
After You've Gone" is a 1918 popular song composed by Turner Layton with lyrics by Henry Creamer. It was recorded by Marion Harris on July 22, 1918, and released by Victor Records. The chorus adheres to a standard ABAC pattern but is only 20 measures long. There are four 4-bar phrases, followed by a 4 measure tag. The song is harmonically active, with chord changes almost every measure.

Lily of the Valley is the third and final song of a medley also containing Tenement Funster and Flick of the Wrist on the album Sheer Heart Attack. The song was written by Freddie Mercury who also plays the piano and provides all the vocals on the track. The lyrics refer back to a song from a previous album, Seven Seas of Rhye from Queen II, with the line messenger from Seven Seas has flown, to tell the King of Rhye he’s lost his throne. Brian May stated in a 1999 Interview that ‘Lily of the Valley’ was utterly heartfelt
