Album Bloodrock 2. . I remember We were flying along And hit something in the air. Laying here, looking at the ceiling Someone lays a sheet across my chest Something warm is flowing down my fingers Pain is flowing all through my back. I try to move my arm and there's no feeling And when I look, I see there's nothing there The face beside me stopped it totally bleeding The girl I knew has such a distant stare. The band decided to write a song about the incident and it was featured on their sophomore album. The song peaked at on the Billboard Hot 100 in 1971, but many radio stations and high schools in the United States banned the song due to its content.
The song is about an airplane crash victim and his girlfriend dying on the way to the hospital. released as a single is roughly half the length of the long album version found on Bloodrock 2. The motivation for writing this song was explained in 2005 by guitarist Lee Pickens. When I was 17, I wanted to be an airline pilot, Pickens said
The cover art was designed by producer Terry Knight. The song "Gotta Find a Way" contains the backmasked message, "Anyone who is stupid enough to play this record backwards deserves what he is about to hear," followed by an excerpt from the poem "Jabberwocky". Lee Pickens - lead guitar, backing vocals. Nick Taylor - rhythm guitar, backing vocals.

He went about 200 feet in the air, rolled and crashed. The band decided to write a song around the incident and include it on their second album. Timothy from Lebanon Tn. Considered to be the most morbid song ever recorded. One would think due to the lyrics it was a plane crash. However they made a video in the mid eighties which reveiled a lightning bolt hitting the hood of the car. The Bouys Timothy was actually the name of the mule that was in the cave with them. Bloodrock - The 1st Album (CD, Album, RE, Unofficial). I'd really like to thank Bloodrock for taking the time to make this one. It's real psychedelic and heavy in the best sense. They either made a great piece of art, or really had something to get off their chest. Either way, I'm good. I love the way it covers the gambit of emotion. Like a recurring dream, it's heavy and unsettling. Just when you think it's over you wake up, fall back asleep and then get swept to the best part of the dream.
