Feets, Don't Fail Me Now is the twenty-seventh album by jazz pianist Herbie Hancock. The record was released in February 1979, on the Columbia Records label. This was the first of Hancock's albums to discard jazz and funk completely in favor of a more commercial (at the time) disco sound, with vocoder effects and repetitive lyrics.

Herbie Hancock has always been at the cutting edge of popular music; Herbie rose to fame as a member of Miles Davis's pathfinding acoustic quintet, whose music helped define a new kind of Jazz. And 'Sunlight ' & 'Feets Don't Fail Me Now' were certainly a different style of Jazz. Combining these two albums in one package Robinsongs lets you relive that magic period. Sunlight ' features the single 'I Thought It Was You'which went Top 20 in the UK, Herbie's first hit single in the .

Drums, Guest Artist, Keyboards.

Hancock also released a solo acoustic piano album, The Piano (1979), which was released only in Japan. It was released in the US in 2004. Other Japan-only albums include Dedication (1974), . s Tempest in the Colosseum (1977), and Direct Step (1978). From 1978 to 1982, Hancock recorded many albums of jazz-inflected disco and pop music, beginning with Sunlight (featuring guest musicians including Williams and Pastorius on the last track) (1978). Singing through a vocoder, he earned a British hit, "I Thought It Was You", although critics were unimpressed Hancock toured with Williams and Carter in 1981, recording Herbie Hancock Trio, a five-track live album released only in . .

Herbie Hancock - Sunlight, Feets Don't Fail Me Now UK - Import. The preceding electrical jazz-rock album Secrets already hinted at the direction Hancock would take, but here he lost what little edge remained in his music and the only thing remaining is run-of-the-mill end 70's disco-pop that, unfortunately, doesn't have any of the catchy hooks to make this type of music come alive. At least this is the story of the first three tracks. The remaining two instrumental tracks don't seem to have much ado with what preceded. No Means Yes is a funk-jazz piece that would have fitted nicely on Man-Child or Secrets. It's hardly remarkable but ok.
