Scott Hamilton (born September 12, 1954) is an American jazz tenor saxophonist associated with swing and mainstream jazz. He emerged in the 1970s in rhythm and blues bands in Providence, Rhode Island, then played jazz on tenor saxophone. In part at the recommendation of Roy Eldridge, he moved to New York City in 1976 and toured with Benny Goodman. He recorded his first significant jazz album as a leader for Chiaroscuro in 1977.
