The album was released in 1969, though the group was formed in 1965. Over a half century later they are still going strong with four original members and many other long-timers. One example few people know and even fewer would admit they know, Village People had a song called Village People on their first album, Village People. This one does not quite qualify but I thought it is worth mentioning, the band Chic has a song called Chic Cheer on their album C’est Chic.
