Waterloo is the second studio album by the Swedish pop group ABBA, and the first released internationally. It was originally released in Sweden on 4 March 1974 through Polar Music. The album's title track won ABBA the 1974 Eurovision Song Contest and became a global hit, launching the group's career. Recording sessions for Waterloo began on 24 September 1973 with the track "Dance (While the Music Still Goes On)".
Waterloo" is the second studio album by the Swedish pop group ABBA, and the first released internationally. ABBA's second (and . debut) album contains the American Top Ten title track, as well as "Honey, Honey," a minor . hit that deserved better. This album is rather unusual in the group's output, however, for the fact that the guys are still featured fairly prominently in some of the vocals, and for the variety of sounds including reggae, folk-rock, and hard rock embraced by its songs. The reggae number "Sitting in the Palmtree" is quite remarkable to hear, with its perfect Caribbean beat and those radiant female voices carrying the chorus behind the beat.

Princess Anni-Frid Synni of Reuss, Countess of Plauen (née Lyngstad; born 15 November 1945), better known by her nickname Frida, is a Norwegian-Swedish singer, songwriter, and environmentalist. She is best known as one of the lead singers of the Swedish pop band ABBA. Born in Ballangen to a Norwegian mother and a German father, she grew up in Torshälla, and started her first solo career there, as a jazz singer in 1967, through a talent competition called New Faces
