Caught Live + 5 is a live album by The Moody Blues, consisting of a 12 December 1969 live show at the Royal Albert Hall and five previously unreleased studio recordings from 1967 to 1968. The band's performance was a popular and critical success at the time.

Caught Live + 5 is a music live recording by THE MOODY BLUES (Crossover Prog/Progressive Rock) released in 1977 on cd, lp, vinyl and/or cassette. Both instrumentally, but especially vocally, the band is weak and often sounds out of tune. It's interesting that the album was only released some years after its recording, perhaps quality control had previously prevented its release.

Although this live album doesn't really give justice to the Moody's brilliance when recording in the studio, it does give us a glimpse of what they were like on stage in the early part of their career. As Bruce Eder indicates, the fourth side (all new studio tracks) is the highlight of this release and should not be overlooked
