Animal Magic is the second album from the British band The Blow Monkeys, released in 1986 by RCA/Ariola (now BMG). It gave the group their commercial breakthrough after their debut album, Limping for a Generation, had won critical acclaim but had only sold modestly.

*1-16 isn't actually extended, as such a mix does not exist. It's almost identical to the album version. The most widely available version of this song, which is used on every Blow Monkeys compilation (except for the 2xCD "Digging Your Scene: The Best Of The Blow Monkeys" on Music Club Deluxe, which uses the album version), is the 7" edit, which runs approx. 1:30 shorter than the album version. This edited version does not appear here.
All tracks were remastered from the original tapes. Dr Robert was highly involved in this project. 1-11 to 1-15, 1-17 & 2-14 to 2-16 are previously released singles b-sides; 1-17 & 2-14 to 2-16 are making their first CD appearance here; 2-1 is a previously unheard song; 2-1 to 2-13 are previously unissued.
This is the first European CD release to utilize the original vinyl's cover art, but a Japanese remastered reissue in a mini-LP replica sleeve was the first CD issue to use it.
