Tom Robinson Band (TRB) are a British rock band, established in 1976 by singer, songwriter and bassist Tom Robinson. The band's debut single "2-4-6-8 Motorway" was a top five hit on the UK Singles Chart in 1977, and their third single, "Up Against the Wall", is seen by some as a classic punk rock single; while their début album, Power in the Darkness (1978), is regarded as a definitive late Seventies punk album.

Tom Robinson Band (TRB) were a British rock band, established in 1976 by singer, songwriter and bassist Tom Robinson (born on 1 June 1950, in Cambridge, England). Tom Robinson began gigging in London in 1976 with a constantly shuffling lineup of musician friends backing him and by the end of the year, he had decided to put together a permanent band. Tom's old friend, guitarist Danny Kustow, was the first in the permanent lineup.

Rising Free - The Very Best Of TRB. "Please retry". On the plus side, the rare track "Getting Tighter" is from the 1981 "reunion" album "Tom Robinson Band", released primarily in England, and has been long out of print (and much-bootlegged) since then. The CD ends with "Never Gonna Fall In Love (Again)", which was co-written with Elton John; this song finds Robinson jumping on the disco bandwagon, and while it's loaded with great hooks, it suffers greatly from the disco vibe.
