Separations is the third studio album by English rock band Pulp, released on 19 June 1992 by Fire Records. Recorded in 1989, it was belatedly released in 1992 by the independent record label Fire, having already been released in France in 1991 on Rosebud Records. The songs on the second half of the album range between electronic synthpop and experimental acid house styles, while the first half contains songs more typical of Pulp's late 80s music.
The Pulp Group are long gone from Fire, currently negotiating a (possibly) major deal, and are not especially interested in you hearing a three-year-old LP that their old financiers failed to release at the time. If the generic term Lion Pop has you lost as yet, listen in. Lion Pop is all about flamboyance, unself-conscious foppery, grand gestures and absurd colour co-ordination
As the sun shines down on the land So her heart is crying for love And there is no-one there, no-one to hear her voice And she will sleep alone again tonight Now the moon is high in the sky In her room she calls out his name But he is somewhere else, somewhere she cannot see Oh, and the night.

Pulp easily could've fell through the cracks to become an interesting curio of the music scene of the eighties, never to be heard or seen from again. thankfully, that didn't happen. This is where Pulp truly began for most people, and even where the band themselves would've wanted it to begin. Countdown" and "Death II" are blistering dance tracks that in the first minute blows most, if not all, of their previous work away.
