John Adam Belushi (January 24, 1949 – March 5, 1982) was an American comedian, actor, and singer who is best known for his "intense energy and raucous attitude" that he displayed as one of the seven original cast members of the NBC sketch comedy show Saturday Night Live (SNL). Throughout his career, Belushi had a close personal and artistic partnership with his fellow SNL star Dan Aykroyd, whom he met while they were both working at Chicago's The Second City comedy club.
Aykroyd is an original cast member of Saturday Night Live (1975-1979), created The Blues Brothers with John Belushi in 1978, and has had a long career as a film actor and screenwriter.

James Adam Belushi (/bəˈluːʃi/; born June 15, 1954) is an American actor, voice actor, comedian, singer and musician. He is the younger brother of late comic actor John Belushi and the father of actor Robert Belushi. He played the role of Jim on the sitcom According to Jim (2001–2009). His other television roles include Saturday Night Live (1983–1985), Wild Palms (1993), Aaahh!!! Real Monsters (1994–1997), Show Me a Hero (2015) and Twin Peaks (2017).
