After listening to this album a couple of times through, I feel inspired to live a life full of honest and true love, and to not rest letting my life simply pass me by. I feel like I want to take action, to be a catalyst for positive change in this life. what an extremely emotional journey. This album is atleast partly a return to their roots. Thrice has never been afraid to speak out against injustices in the world as their previous albums' lyrics can attest. The political and moral lyrics seem especially timely now with our country at a turning point.

I first heard the album digital and was taken with the overall production, the used echo- and reverb types as well as Dustin Kensrue's raspy voice and lyrics. But as todays music the digital is pretty compressed hence loudness war and what so not. That said - I primarily got it on vinyl because of the overall sound of the record and the wish of more dynamics and clarity. Once this "smoke" color (looks like grey/black marble) sold out, they went to plain black 180g. That being said, it is an absolutely phenomenal album. I couldn't be happier with their return! With this comeback record, " To Be Everywhere Is to Be Nowhere," Thrice don't rehash the golden days of their fleeting post-hardcore years, but with more grit heard in their distortion, there's more bite to this album than their previous two.
