The two most noteworthy versions are the single version and the album version. In one of its earlier forms, Get Back was a satirical political tune, with lyrics including too many Pakistanis living in a council flat. Which to me was actually talking out against overcrowding for Pakistani. f there was any group that was not racist, it was the Beatles. John Lennon believe that Get Back was aimed at his lover, Yoko Ono, who had begun accompanying him to many of the Beatle’s recording sessions. Paul adamantly denies that this song was about Ono, but he’s admitted that her presence during recording sessions was slightly upsetting to him at the time. What have the artists said about the song?

Most Beatles fans are familiar with The Beatles' nearly disastrous "Get Back/Let It Be Sessions" in January 1969 that, ultimately, resulted in the Let It Be album and movie. Many fans are also aware that an earlier album titled Get Back was compiled from the sessions by engineer/producer Glyn Johns and was scheduled for release at various times throughout 1969 and early 1970. Apparently, Glyn made at least four different variants of his compilation. Three of these compilations were considered for release with each successive one superseding the previous.

A single comprising of "Get Back" and "Don't Let Me Down" was released in April, 1969 but as The Beatles focussed their energies on a new album mainly recorded at Abbey Road, The "Get Back" album as it was then called remained unreleased. Once Abbey Road had been issued and the completion of the documentary film now imminent, it was noticed that rehearsals of George's song "I Me Mine" featured prominently in the film but had not been recorded in the studio. This was remedied on 3rd January, 1970 when George, Paul and Ringo performed it without.
Let It Be is a 1970 British documentary film starring the Beatles and directed by Michael Lindsay-Hogg. The film documents the group rehearsing and recording songs for their twelfth and final studio album Let It Be, in January 1969. The film includes an unannounced rooftop concert by the group, their last public performance. Released just after the album in May 1970, Let It Be is the final original Beatles release.
