A Momentary Lapse of Reason Tour was a concert tour by the British rock band Pink Floyd from 1987 to 1989 in support of their album A Momentary Lapse of Reason. The tour was the band's first since The Wall Tour in 1981, and also the first without the band's original bassist Roger Waters. The band later reprised the set-list and stage show of this tour for their performance at Knebworth Park in 1990.
In 1989, as part of the Another Lapse tour that year, Pink Floyd played their first concerts in Moscow . I clearly remember that the LP album cost me 55 roubles (a third of my monthy salary at that time) and an inlay postcard from 'Wish You Were Here' album.

Wish You Were Here is the ninth studio album from English rock band Pink Floyd. The follow-up to their legendary album The Dark Side Of The Moon, its genesis was marked by the band’s disorientation following their rise to planetary exposure. Finding it difficult to figure out what to do with their creative future and physically worn out by extensive touring, the band members entered a state where they would reflect on the past, and most notably Pink Floyd founder-gone-mad Syd Barrett.
Pink Floyd followed the commercial breakthrough of Dark Side of the Moon with Wish You Were Here, a loose concept album about and dedicated to their founding member Syd Barrett. The record unfolds gradually, as the jazzy textures of "Shine on You Crazy Diamond" reveal its melodic motif, and in its leisurely pace, the album shows itself to be a warmer record than its predecessor. Musically, it's arguably even more impressive, showcasing the group's interplay and David Gilmour's solos in particular
Pink Floyd’s 'Wish You Were Here' is a classic, with album art by Hipgnosis it explored fame, the music business, and featured a paean to Syd Barrett. Everything had sort of come our way, and you had to reassess what you were in it for thereafter. the video quotes Gilmour as saying about the album. And it was a pretty confusing and sort of empty time for a while. You can check out the fascinating video below.
