Red is the seventh studio album by English progressive rock group King Crimson, released in 1974 by Island Records in the United Kingdom and by Atlantic Records in the United States. It was their last studio recording of the 1970s and the last before lead member Robert Fripp temporarily disbanded the group. Though their lowest-charting album at the time, spending only one week in the UK charts, Red has received critical acclaim.

As Robert Fripp had done with King Crimson's first live LP, Earthbound (1972), USA is a single-disc concert package documenting the quartet during its 1974 swing through North America. As with its predecessor, USA was also issued as a sonic cenotaph of the concurrently defunct Krim. So insistent that the band would not be resurrected, Fripp concluded the LP's liner notes at the time with another three-letter epitaph: ".

Earthbound (King Crimson album). Earthbound is a live album by the band King Crimson, released in 1972 as a budget record shortly after the line-up that recorded it had broken up. It contains the band's first official live release of their signature song "21st Century Schizoid Man", and an extended live version of their 1970 non-LP B-side "Groon". It also contains two improvised tracks with scat vocals from Boz Burrell.

King Crimson Format: Vinyl. Not only are they original, but they have always had some of the finest musicians around that also starred or went on to star with several other groups. Here, John Wetton (of Asia, Uriah Heep and . fame) is the vocalist. USA now consists of the original album plus "Fracture" and "Starless is that Fripp would decide whether the band would play it or not depending on "how well behaved" the audience had been throughout the show.

The position of this album in King Crimson’s discography was pretty significant. Their hiatus came to an end 7 years later, with what is generally viewed as the 3rd KC era, consisting of remaning 70’s members Robert Fripp and Bill Bruford, and the addition of bass man Tony Levin (Peter Gabriel) and rhythm guitarist/lead vocalist Adrian Belew (Talking Heads).
