Conversations is a 1963 album by American jazz t, Eric Dolphy, later reissued on VJ Records as "The Eric Dolphy Memorial Album. Jitterbug Waltz" (Fats Waller) – 7:17. Music Matador" (Prince Lasha, Sonny Simmons) – 9:35. Love Me" (Ned Washington, Victor Young) – 3:22. Alone Together" (Howard Dietz, Arthur Schwartz) – 13:36.

On the former date, Dolphy and McIntyre (joined by pianist Walter Bishop, J. bassist Sam Jones and drummer Art Taylor) perform five of the leader's challenging originals along with George Gershwin's "They All Laughed," while the Waldron session also features the very distinctive tenor saxophonist Booker Ervin, Ron Carter on cello, bassist Joe Benjamin and drummer Charlie Persip on seven.

Eric Allan Dolphy, Jr. (June 20, 1928 – June 29, 1964) was an American jazz alto saxophonist, bass clarinetist and flautist. On a few occasions, he also played the clarinet and piccolo. This album features Dolphy's fully developed avant-garde yet structured compositional style rooted in tradition Final months. After Out to Lunch! and an appearance on pianist/composer Andrew Hill's Blue Note album Point of Departure, Dolphy left for Europe with Charles Mingus' sextet in early 1964  . 1960: Fire Waltz (Prestige). 1960: Magic (Prestige) with Ron Carter. 1960: Other Aspects (Blue Note).
