The first question one has to ask upon even gazing at the album sleeve of Paul Rodgers' Live in Glasgow in 2006 is, of course, has he still got it? That's like asking if Bob Dylan still has it, or Jimmy Page or Brian May or Ian Hunter. Hell yes he does! Recorded on the final night of a European tour, Rodgers and his bandmates, guitarists Howard Leese and Kurtis Dengler, bassist Lynn Sorensen and drummer Ryan Hoyle, lay down a tough, big sounding set of classics and more recent songs – including one new one – from his entire career and give them life, breath and fire again.
Electric (fully as Paul Rodgers Electric according to Paul Rodgers official site) is a studio album by Paul Rodgers of Free and Bad Company fame. It was recorded in 1999 at Lartington Hall Studios near Barnard Castle in the North East of England. Electric was released in 2000 (the Japanese version of 1999 has a bonus track). All songs written and produced by Paul Rodgers. Walking Tall" (3:34).
One of the best live cd's have heard, and not a Bad Company, but heard him with Joe Bonamassa at the Beacon; actually the CD, but saw Bonamassa this year, and so once I heard live CD from the Beacon, bought this one; it's crazy. I thought the best live CD I had heard recently was Van Morrison, Too Late to Stop Now, which has great acclaim, but this one is off the chart. 3 people found this helpful.

And now, Rodgers has taken that sound solo again with Live In Glasgow. Recorded in October, 2006, the CD, as well as the companion DVD, pleasantly surprises with a strong salute to Free’s classics including crackerjack versions of The Stealer, I’ll Be Creepin’ and All Right Now. It digs into the Muddy Water Blues: A Tribute to Muddy Waters album with Louisiana Blues, as well as Radioactive from Rodgers’ foray with the Firm, and Bad Company’s Feel Like Makin’ Love and Seagull. Paul Rodgers is the definitive blues-rock singer; with Live In Glasgow, he carries on with his nearly 40-year track record of class and quality - with a kick. Paul McCartney On Tour!
