Now with his passing, I see the value of this rare groove track skyrocketing... love this long ass track... repititive as it is...Glad I got this in NM Condition before the mad rush to acquire!

Decent edit/pressing of give it up here https://www.discogs.com/Various-Give-It-Up/release/1630578 for a fraction of the price

Both tracks have some good elements, but there is not enough musical production and variation to hold your attention from start to finish. They needed more Hugh Masekela and supportive musical elements and less of the repetitive vocal choruses. And of course, better mixes from the hands of top studio people who know how to turn raw material into finished classics.

This one does not grab me and hold me from start-to-finish, and it even loses me about mid-way through, so I am not buying it. And there are plenty of top-tier disco/club records that do have the "grab you from start-to-finish" quality.

Respectfully disagree.. It is quite impossible not to move to this song, and that's what it is all about. Variation is nice, but it's about the groove. This one is soooo catchy it grabs you from the start and doesn't let go. There are not that many disco records that have that quality. Truly a classic !
