Following on from the release of the third and final chapter in his autobiographical album trilogy on Kompakt, entitled ‘1989’, Danish producer-DJ KÖLSCH reveals a string of international tour dates. The 1989 album tour begins in Miami on 27th October, and takes in Canada, Argentina, Brazil, the UK, France, Germany, Belgium, Italy, Australia and more before returning to the States for two final shows, first at New York’s newest club Elsewhere on 15th December followed by Sound in LA on 16th December.

Kölsch returns to Kompakt this year with his long­awaited album ‘1983,’ a veritable master class from one of techno’s very best. 1989 is the third and final chapter in Kölsch’s autobiographical album trilogy, featuring contributions from Gregor Schwellenbach with the Heritage Orchestra and Norwegian vocalist Aurora.

With new full-length 1989, Kölsch presents the final chapter of an elegant, anthemic album trilogy that started with an exploration of early childhood memories and influences on '1977' (KOM 276 CD 107) - the year of his birth - and continued on '1983' KOM 329 CD 122), a vibrant and picturesque journey sound tracking the year he travelled through Europe aged six. 'With 1989, we have arrived in my early teens', Kölsch explains, 'a difficult time in my life, where I mostly just remember the greyness of it all - grey feelings, grey weather and my own grey face.
