Starjets - The 1979 Belfast Demo Session Volume One album flac

Starjets' only album, God Bless Starjets, typifies the sort of tight, catchy, guitar-driven punk-pop that constituted the early British new wave scene. The tunes can be a bit frothy, but they're exuberant as well, somewhat in the vein of fellow Belfast popsters the Undertones. Still, even though the band had attracted some media attention for the single "War Stories," God Bless Starjets failed to make much of a commercial splash, eventually spelling the end of the band.

Prodigy Present: The Dirtchamber Sessions Volume One is a 1999 solo mix album by Liam Howlett of The Prodigy (the latter was used as a moniker in this case), and it was initially produced for BBC Radio 1's mix show The Breezeblock. There are more than 48 tunes from many artists mixed, scratched and cut. The album came about as a result of a 1998 guest DJ appearance by Howlett on Mary Anne Hobbs's Breezeblock show on the UK radio station Radio 1, producing a similar set.

The Complete Thom Bell Sessions brings together the complete recording session by Elton John and producer Thom Bell onto one album. Released in 1989 by MCA Records, the album is composed of the material previously released in 1979 as well as the songs that were recorded at the original session but had then gone unreleased. Two of the "new" songs were co-written by John - "Nice and Slow" was co-written with Thom Bell and longtime writing partner Bernie Taupin, and "Shine on Through" with lyricist Gary Osborne.

The Starjets were a late 1970s power pop/group from Belfast, Northern Ireland. The band consisted of guitarist/vocalist Terry Sharpe, guitarist/vocalist Paul Bowen, bassist Sean Martin and drummer Liam L'Estrange. The group sported a mix of punk and mainstream pop influences. Early sets consisted of such 1960s pop standards as "Please Please Me" by The Beatles and "Sugar, Sugar" by The Archies at a time when such light, happy fare was an anathema to the punk community.
