About Time is the eighth solo studio album by Steve Winwood, released in 2003. It was his first album since 1997 and it featured a return to a musical style more in line with his earlier work with Traffic.

On the salient entitled About Time, with Winwood invariably behind the Hammond organ, the songs are mostly made up of long drawn out (funk) jams, which unfortunately is not always equally memorable melody lines. And if individual songs aren't necessarily memorable, they don't necessarily need to be - the feel is the thing here, and while it isn't first-rate Steve Winwood, it does feel like a welcome update from an old friend, which, after several years of waiting and several uneven records, is enough.

Steve Winwood is the debut studio solo album by blue-eyed soulster Steve Winwood. It was released three years after the break-up of Traffic. Though the album sold moderately well in the USA, it was a commercial disappointment compared to Traffic's recent albums, peaking at number 22 on the Billboard 200 album chart. About Time was also the first Pennywise album to chart in Billboard; the release peaked at number 96. Most of the album follows the theme of problems with time: fear of it passing, controlling it and accepting it. About Time is the final Pennywise album to feature bass player Jason Thirsk, who committed suicide on July 29, 1996.
