Thematically, all the songs on the record could be either a reflection on the world or a relationship. Front-woman Lauren Mayberry spoke about the album to The Fader. I could go down the list and say which ones are about personal stuff, and which are just waking up in the world we live in right now and feeling the heaviness of that. But I really like the fact that people can read them in whatever way they want. That just says that pop music doesn’t have to be meaningless.

Chvrches Love is Dead will be my go-to album for a long time. I enjoy it more with every listen. Additionally, for Chvrches fans who are having difficulty with this pop heavy arrangement, and for any Chvrches fan too, I also recommend Chvrches new Hansa Session which takes five of the songs here from Love is Dead and arranges with piano, acoustic guitar, drum, and string quartet.
Chvrches' third album is 'Love Is Dead. It’s partly cloudy music, defined by the way its dreariness balances with the glimmers of light that shine through.
Today, CHVRCHES have unveiled their new album, Love Is Dead. Apple Music and this site users can stream the LP in full below. Due out through Glassnote Records, the LP serves as the Scottish outfit’s third to date following 2015’s Every Open Eye. It features contributions from Grammy Award-winning producer Greg Kurstin (Sia, Foo Fighters), marking the first time CHVRCHES worked with an outside producer. The National frontman Matt Berninger also makes an appearance on a track called My Enemy
