Nuntype" is the follow-up album from Tajai (Souls of Mischief, Hieroglyphics) and Philadelphia-based producer, SupremeEx. In 1999 the duo released the highly acclaimed EP concept album, "Projecto: 2501. The EP was lauded for its use of multi-media to convey its story, including trading cards, enhanced CD and downloadable web content. Using "Projecto" as a cornerstone, the duo began conceptualizing what would become "Nuntype" almost immediately after "Projecto's" release

Nuntype is the sophomore collaborative album from Philadelphia-based producer, SupremeEx (Yameen) and Souls of Mischief, Hieroglyphics MC, Tajai. In 1999 the duo released the EP, Projecto: 2501 - applauded for its imaginative use of story telling elements such as included trading cards, Enhanced CD and web-delivered content. Whereas Projecto was an EP, Nuntype is a completely new full length album with more than 11 songs including the hit single, "Meaning" featuring Oakland songstress and Columbia recording artist, Goapele

SupremeEx and Tajai chronology. Projecto: 2501 (2000). Nuntype is the first full-length album by Souls of cs MC Tajai and SupremeEx following their EP, Projecto: 2501. The album features R&B and soul singer Goapele. It was released on November 8, 2005 on Rumble Pack Records.

Tajai fans should pick this and NUNtype up because Tajai spits some tight rhymes on both albums. If you can stomach music that transcends beyond boundries and norms, pick up Projecto 2501. Shing02 spits some lyrics in Japanese(I believe), its tight. And I also believe that SupremeEX samples The Smashing Pumpkins song Beautiful on the song Contact. 3 people found this helpful.

"Nuntype" is the follow-up album from Tajai (Souls of Mischief, Hieroglyphics) and Philadelphia-based producer, SupremeEx. In 1999 the duo released the highly acclaimed EP concept album, "Projecto: 2501." The EP was lauded for its use of multi-media to convey its story, including trading cards, enhanced CD and downloadable web content. Using "Projecto" as a cornerstone, the duo began conceptualizing what would become "Nuntype" almost immediately after "Projecto's" release. "Nuntype" was released in 2005 on Rumble Pack Records as a limited edition digipack CD featuring artwork illustration by Cassady Benson and art direction by long-time contributor, Stinke. Additionally, Colm Doherty returned to reprise his role as lead character designer, having done all of the artwork on 1999's, "Projecto: 2501." "Nuntype's" story is about a deity (played by Tajai) who has grown bored in his ponderous age, and seeks to satiate his loneliness by toying with the fates of his human "playthings". What the deity comes to learn upon returning to the world he once birthed, however, is that the humans have largely advanced since he last created them and they have learned how to control and create organic technology which could threaten his leadership. Ultimately, however, there is more to consider than simply man-made weaponry. As a Prophecy is foretold in the beginning of the album and comes to pass in its 2nd act, threatening the very grip the deity needs to maintain control of a universe that has outgrown him. As a full-length recording, Tajai and SupremeEx were allowed much more room to convey their story than they were allowed in "Projecto's" compressed EP format. And while the digipack CD has a brief story synopsis printed inside its sleeve, "Nuntype" never feels overbearing in its storytelling, and indeed most of the songs work on their own, extracted from the larger narrative. Check for the album's only guest artist, Goapele on the lead single, "Meaning". An instrumental version featuring extended and unreleased beats by producer, SupremeEx was released exclusively online at download sites such as iTunes, Napster, etc. in 2006.
