Natty Dread is the seventh studio album by Bob Marley and the Wailers, released in 1974. It was the first album released as Bob Marley and the Wailers instead of just the Wailers, the first recorded without Peter Tosh and Bunny Wailer, and the first recorded with I Threes, a female vocal trio consisting of Marcia Griffiths, Judy Mowatt, and Marley's wife, Rita Marley.
Natty Dread is Bob Marley's finest album, the ultimate reggae recording of all time. This was Marley's first album without former bandmates Peter Tosh and Bunny Livingston, and the first released as Bob Marley & the Wailers. The Wailers' rhythm section of bassist Aston "Family Man" Barrett and drummer Carlton "Carlie" Barrett remained in place and even contributed to the songwriting, while Marley added a female vocal trio, the I-Threes (which included his wife Rita Marley), and additional instrumentation to flesh out the sound.

Long ago, at the advice of an auctioneer, I threw away my album collection. This is the first work after the breakup of the original band, with Peter Tosh leaving. And it remains strong today. I find it surprising that only one song off this CD made it onto the Wailers' greatest hits CD, "Legend. Anyhow, my reaction to some of the songs on this C. .Lively up yourself": With Marley's work, the sound has a "laid back" kind of quality, but it is also hypnotic and powerful.
On Episode of 2 Guys 1 Album, hosts Mike Heidemann and Paul Farahvar vibe on the sweet, sweet sounds of legendary Rastafarian and Reggae singer, Bob Marley. The guys groove on each track with the insight of a hawk as they dissect Bob Marley and The Wailers & Dread&.mp3?ad params ation id%3D3788.
