Signals is the ninth studio album by Canadian rock band Rush, released in September 1982 by Anthem Records.
II, Rush replaced their heavy rock of yesteryear with even more modern sounds for 1982's Signals. And more current and easier-to-grasp topics (teen peer pressure, repression, et. replaced their trusty old sci-fi-inspired lyrics.
Rush returns with Signals, and launches another series of releases that will culminate after three additional albums in their third live recording Show of Hands. The first era of releases were marked by the bands drive to perform, while the second era was dominated by writing, both lyrically and musically. Altogether, Signals is a fine album, certainly worthy of the Rush name. Highlights: "Subdivisions," "Chemistry," "Digital Man," Signaling for a Decent Rush Album - 78%.
